Great summary of Arena. Get sum.
Illuvium/@illuviumio recently launched their Pro League tournament for/on Illuvium Arena (an auto-chess/TFT style game) It started on 16/08 and will run until the main event around 13/12, with a prize pool of $150K “But Majoras, isn’t the prize pool $250K?” You’re totally right, but only $150K is reserved for the main event. Here’s how you qualify: ✅ 48 players from IPL Points (weekly tournaments) ✅ 4 players from Ranked Leaderboard Points (RLP) ✅ 4 players from the Last Call Tournament (Open Qualifier) ✅ 4 players from the Last Chance Event (Top 250 ranked players) ✅ 4 players with Wildcard invites 1⃣ IPL Points are earned by playing in IPL 250 / 500 / 1000 tournaments (every week) 2⃣ RLP is earned through daily ranked gameplay (leaderboard resets monthly) Both have separate leaderboards and are used for qualification And as you’ve probably figured out, the other $100K from the $250K prize pool will be distributed among winners/top ranks of these weekly IPL tournaments So basically, every week we’ll have qualifier events, where players with the highest points get rewards based on their ranks. Based on these points/ranks, some players qualify for the main IPL tournament (every Saturday/Sunday), which has/can have prize pools of $2K, $3K, $5K, and $20K. Only the top players/rankers are rewarded The game Illuvium/Illuvium Arena is totally free to download and play on Epic Store (see image below) And if you’re wondering if there are pay-to-win mechanics, no, there aren’t. There’s no way for players to gain an advantage by paying. Everyone is on the same level. All that matters is skill and time What I see is that most people will ignore it, won’t bother, because it requires effort/time. It’s not a “click one button and earn money” system/game, you need to train, understand the game meta, and put in the time. That’s exactly where I see the opportunity The main way to get into the end-of-year Main Event is by starting to play now, learning the game, and accumulating IPL points. If you wait until December, based on the qualification structure, you won’t make it in time imo The game is fun and enjoyable. If you’ve ever played TFT and liked it, you’ll enjoy Illuvium Arena. I’ve even seen some web2/normie streamers playing it, which shows that fun games like this can actually bring more adoption to web3 gaming Another cool thing is that @illuviumio totally optimized the game, so now it runs on almost any device And for this week IPL 250 tournament you can check the details here - TLDR - Free-to-play TFT-style game - Can earn $ weekly + qualify for the $150K Main Event in December - No pay-to-win, effort and skill only - Huge opportunity for early grinders 👉 Recommended guide/article from @illuviumio: 👉 If you want to go deeper, check out the dedicated Illuvium Arena channel in their own discord to discuss builds/strategies with other players 👉 If you found this post helpful, feel free to drop a like, RT, bookmark, and follow/turn on notis, I’ll be dropping more content like this every week
